Italian Caprese Salad

This is, in my opinion, the most elegant salad in the world. The better the quality of the ingredients, the better the salad! |
Servings: 2 to 4
ingredients

Dressing Ingredients
5 Tbs of extra-virgin olive oil
2 Tbs of balsamic vinegar
fresh ground pepper
salt

Salad Ingredients
10 to 20Large red cherry or Rosa tomatoes sliced in half
5 to 8 Bocconchini (small round baby mozzarella), or large mozzarella sliced into chunks
4 Springs of Fresh Basil

directions
Arrange the tomatoes and mozzarella on a serving platter and top with sprigs of fresh basil.
Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Add salt and pepper.
chef's notes
Serve with fresh bread or foccacia, and definately some wine.
