Being healthy actually has very little to do with eating or food, living healthy is something you choose and it has as much to do with what you choose to eat as it does with what thoughts you decide to entertain at any given moment. Living healthy is choosing to elevate yourself, who you are and who you choose to be in this world.
The mind-body-spirit system is one, and it functions together. So any part will impact the other, which also means a change in one will affect the other. You will notice that the moment you choose to put something nutritious into your system that it will have an impact on how you feel and how you think.
The best guide for healthy living and eating you can ever find, will be the one you have inside, you already have everything you need to choose the way you want to be. The fact that you have opened this book reflects this. I know that the people who open this book will see my intention to ease your mind, and share the beauty of life – and to give you an opportunity to turn a glorious celebration like eating into something much deeper, into an experience of self-discovery and self-expression.
This website is like taking a little road trip with the train, there are several stops on the route. The first time you stop at the station you might just get off and look around a bit before you get back on the train. On the following journey you might stop and go exploring a little, and eventually you will discover a whole city at each of these train stops. It won’t be long before you realize that at each stop there is a whole different world with its own landscape, people, smells and sounds, and even its own trains. And then one day you will come to see that there wasn’t any train to begin with, but that all of those world discovered were right there where you started.
Love
Open yourself to love. Love yourself, love those around you, love what you do and love the world. Give love and take love with open arms. Remember true love does not turn to hate or anger, true love is unconditional. Love is a reward in itself.
You are a blessing, life is a blessing. Fill your life with gratitude and appreciation, especially when it seems that it is not that easy, appreciate both the “good” and the “bad”. Remember they are all part of life, who we are, our health and our journey. Appreciate the struggle and the result, appreciate the failure for the lessons they bring and the success.
When you do love and do appreciation, every time you think it or feel it or say it your whole being fills up with vibrating energy – and this is healthy living.
Sensuality
Every moment of every day we are creating, by our thoughts, words and deeds. We are continuously manifesting that which we experience. You are responsible for your own life, for your own thoughts and exactly where you find yourself, directly or indirectly whether your believe it or not. That what you see around you is providing you with exactly what you need to gain awareness, insight and wisdom. Every moment is an opportunity to choose who you want to be, how you want to be in this world, and what you want to create.
And in case you get so caught up in all the big stuff… remember: eat naturally, chew your food, be aware of your breathing, exercise a little every day, sleep enough and learn to sleep well, avoid that which you know is not good for you, be clean inside and out, pay attention of your body and your mind, be patient, listen to your intuition and follow it, appreciate everything because that is the key to living healthy. And love, if you remember at least this, open yourself to love, give it and take it, be blessed by love.
Trust
Trust yourself, trust your inner power, and honor yourself. Self-respect is one of the most important elements of healthy living. When you respect yourself, you will be mindful of what you put into your body; you will treat your body like a heavenly being.
Trust the process of life; know that there is meaning in everything that happens. When you trust the process you learn to let go. You become prone to illness when you hold onto negative ideas or feelings. And that goes for the good stuff too… when you hold onto these you are not allowing new ones to come to you. Let it all go. Take the insight and wisdom from every experience, and let the events go. Letting go is like taking a deep breath… just let it be. Practice this ability, and be grateful for all the opportunities you are given to learn to let go. This ability will ease your mind and ease your body, it is a corner stone of health, longevity and enlightenment.
Passion
Enjoy life! We often forget how blessed we are. Remember. Stress and negative feelings can easily impact our state of mind and our health. Life is magnificent, in all its forms, in every way. That is not to say that there will not be hardship or sadness. Learn to let it go, learn to get over it – for your own health’s sake. Don’t sweat the small things, they are ultimately not important. Be around the people that you love and that love you. Remember the one fact of life is that it is every changing, that is what makes life so interesting and enjoyable. People who do not get sick are those who take the time to enjoy life. Look for any cycles that are holding you down and make the changes. In any situation there are always three choices: Change the situation, change yourself in the situation (the way you think about it, the meaning you give it) or remove yourself from the situation. Seeing the beauty in life is the secret of longevity.
Honesty
Pay close attention to your body, learn to be aware of how your body feels, and give it your attention. Your body is constantly communicating with you, listen carefully. Maintaining awareness of your body is as important as paying attention to your mental health. Take note of the emotions that fill your day. Most emotions are habits that we have formed, and they can be changed. Giving attention to your body and mind require honesty with yourself. When you are honest with yourself you will learn the art of moderation, know where your limits are, to avoid excessively stressing the body or mind. Look at the quality of your thoughts about yourself and others. Be open and honest with yourself and others about the way you feel.
Wisdom
We all have intuition, it is something provided by nature to guide you in the direction that is good for you and away from something that might not be. Many people block their intuition, or they don’t trust it or they don’t follow it. In a society where logic, power and intellect are considered so important, we have often forgotten that it is instinct that has brought us this far. Take the time to be in touch with your intuition. Exercise your intuition, learn to trust it, it can save your life.
Your intuition is always there, for matters small or big, life of health. Let your intuition guide you to avoid activities, toxins or pollutants that are harmful to your mind or body. Eat naturally (and plenty of vegetables, cooked as little as possible), chew your food well and always leave the table 90% full.
Awareness
We are all aware that if we expose our body to harmful elements that it will be damaged and aged quickly. But what is going on inside of is far more important. Our outer beauty and radiance is a reflection of the health, balance and vitality of our mind and our inner body. Taking care of ourselves through what we eat, drink and think will have a profound influence on our external appearance and the way we interact with the world, and the way others experience us.
Be aware of what you feel and think, observe it. Know that this moment is all we have because the past and the future are only ideas in our head and do not exist until we are in the moment. Right here, right now… breathe. Take a moment to lift your eyes from this page, and just look, notice, be aware, appreciate and let it go...
